At Joju we believe passionately about what we do. We work with government, businesses and individuals to promote taking a more active and responsible approach to reducing our overall greenhouse gas emissions which are caused by burning fossil fuels.
We work with our customers to pursue energy saving strategies and to reduce finite resource profligacy.
Joju wants to help individuals as well as the nation reach a high level of energy independence.

How we do it
We have researched the best possible urban micro generation solutions.(see why PV)
It is important that you understand what PV is, it’s efficiency and the costs associated with this type of renewable energy micro generation. We will discuss these issues before organising a FREE site visit.
The buildings for which Solar PV is feasible must meet certain criteria, so we will carry out a survey to see if Solar PV is an appropriate solution.
Whether or not your property is suited to a PV installation, we will inform you of other ways you can save energy and reduce fuel bills.
Currently there is a grant worth up to 50% of the total installation cost, but there is a prerequisite for your property to meet a certain level of energy efficiency for the grant to be applicable, so we will lead you through those steps and organise your grant application.

Joe Michaels
Managing Director
He has a commercial and entrepreneurial background. He started and managed a tea importing business which is still in operation, carrying products in most of the multiples.
He set up and managed import-export offices in Morocco and Hong Kong for a British textile company.
He has worked as a volunteer for numerous organisations for various amounts of time.
He has spent many years living, working and travelling in developing countries.
Dr Christian Jardine
Director of Technology (Profile: Environmental Change Institute)
Dr. Chris Jardine is an expert on the performance of solar photovoltaics. His work at the University of Oxford has determined which solar photovoltaic technologies are best suited to the UK , and how to maximise the efficiency of solar PV systems. Chris has many academic papers to his name, and has published a best-selling guide about solar photovoltaics (entitled "Photovoltaics in the UK ") aimed at new customers. Chris is responsible for system design & product selection, ensuring that installations are specified to the highest possible standards giving customers reliable, high yield systems.
Nick Garrett
Electrical Installation Team Leader
Nick is an expert electrical technician, with over ten years electrical engineering experience.
He is fully qualified, having achieved City & Guilds parts 1& 2 (7671) & the 17th edition.
He has also completed course 2391 for testing and inspection.
He is a member of JIB for health and safety. He has also achieved the City and Guilds qualification uniquely designed for PV installations.
James Page
Operations Manager
A chartered engineer, James studied engineering with economics and industrial sociology at Cambridge University. He then followed a career of convergence: starting in broadcast technology (BBC and TV-am) followed by posts in product and spectrum regulation at the DTI and Nokia.
At Joju he manages the residential projects. Since 2001 he has been a co-optee on the Environment Scrutiny Committee for the London Borough of Richmond, where he chaired their Climate Change Task Group.
He has written articles on subjects such as trading spectrum (not so different from trading carbon) and greening telecoms regulation.
Joe Gabriel
Project Manager
Joe is a graduate of the University of Oxford where he spent time investigating novel methods of carbon dioxide sequestration by chemical means with the aim of developing industrial methods of reducing atmospheric CO2, his work in this area has been published in academic journals.
After graduating, Joe was heavily involved in the development and international accreditation of the SolarTile® - a innovative building integrated photovoltaic module developed by Powertile Ltd (a spin-out company from the University of Southampton) in partnership with Marley Eternit Ltd.
At Joju Joe project manages installations and has expertise in designing bespoke PV systems to maximise yields.

Supplier Policy
- Products must be manufactured in countries where there is freedom of association, worship & speech
- Manufacturers who regularly publicise their environmental audits, carbon footprint & have an environmental policy & reports accessible to the public are more favourable
- The products conform to all required UK & EC electrical installation requirements
- They must be products of known reputation
- Products which surpass statutory requirements in their "environmental friendliness" and ethical production regime are favoured above others, where possible
- Products built using environmentally friendly manufacturing processes such as lead free soldering are preferred over others
